First off, good job holding yourself back. Believe it or not there are some men in this world (me included) who respect the girls who save themselves more.
Second, yes there are some old fashioned guys left. The problem is that they've sort of been driven into hiding. Let me explain what I mean:
On at least two occasions I can remember, I have tried to open a door for a lady I was with just like you said. But the lady did not appreciate this and instead began to sternly lecture me about feminism and women's rights.
Now, I did not in any way mean to infringe or belittle her as a woman: I was just trying to be polite. But still she found it disrespectful that I would hold the door open for her.
This is why a lot of men who would normally be "old fashioned" just stifle their manners and act like everyone else. I still try to be polite and do the things like hold doors open, but to be honest I don't do it for women I don't know anymore because I don't know how they'll react: I pretty much only do that for my female friends now.

I was just wondering if there were any old fashioned girls left out there?
I like to think of my self as being from the old school when it comes to relationships. I still believe in treating a lady like a lady... That is treating her with the respect that she deserves. It is tough these days, some ladies get offended if you try to open a door for them, or pull their chair out for them at dinner. But the way I see it, I rather offend someone by trying to do something nice for them, rather than doing nothing at all.
As far a sex on the first date goes, why the rush? Whats wrong with a little romance? I would rather build a good relationship with somebody before just jumping into the sack with them. I guess it once again goes back to the respect factor.

Well I'm a guy and I wonder how rare of a breed "old fashioned" guys are. I think it's just selfish of guys to just expect sex all the time. I never expect that - I just look forward to getting to know someone and having fun with that person, whether it's a walk in the park, or a day at the amusement park, or what have you. Then again, I'm still single. Go figure.

I am hated for my manners apparently its not cool im sorry but i am old fashioned and there arent many old fashioned girls. I am sorry that we are so few its the music. I cant take it i mean, im a virgin and i like it like that. I dont c women as an object thats probably y im in such a crappy relationship. I think the guy should buy the dinner, and make the romantic plans, cook her food, and take care of her. But most girls dont like that its the feminist thing they want to be free or something. I dont understand either but we are out there you just have to know where to look

Yes beautiful, i go out of my way to make a lady feel like a lady.I even call them my lady.civility and manners are a must in Southern society
you must teach your man as to what you want from them.stand at the door till he opens it.act shocked if he does something that's not courteous
be a lady and he will treat you like a lady.are get rid of him and find a better suitor
Pray that God will show you a good man. I wish you the best

There are lots, but most of them are geeks, wear unfashionable clothing and have bad teeth or dodgy hair styles. Underneath all that, they are really lovely guys, but most girls who SAY they want a nice sweet man get turned off by the other factors.
If you're ready to look past the surface, check out some of the geek spots - science fiction clubs, the local library, science events. There are plenty of them around - but you have to be the brave one. They're too used to rejection to try, poor things... but they're worth it.

Yes, there are some polite men out there, but you need to look to see them. They are few and far between, in my humble opinion.
