I think it is either Red Forman on That 70's Show or Doug Heffernan on the King of Queens. I personally wish my father was like Red.

Bill Cosby as Heathcliff Huxtable because for once it was intelligent, successful career parents dealing with children that had the typical teenage woes. He wasn't verbally abusive, physically threatening, and he raised his kids to be responsible and respectful. And he clearly adored his wife.
