Sure, why not? If someone's not around/toobusy/already ate, just go, Unless you think you'll be bored where you're going. For example, there's a restaurant I know with really good food & good service, but there's no atmosphere & they play really annoying music. I'd have to have someone to talk to.

yes I do it often since my husband is a truck driver and is sometimes gone weeks at a time.
Sometimes I take a book so it's not so lonely
