Though they both fall in the appearance category, one is hotter to the eye than the other. Then, there is sexy and beautiful at the same time. A dream a man would love to have. But, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but, sexy is bad to the bone.

I guess I'm thinking completely opposite!
To me, beautiful is being naturally pleasing to the eye without a lot of effort.
Sexy is more attitude based. Confidence, even. Something achieved with purpose.

Beautiful means you look nice: and everyone's opinion of what is beautiful is a little different.
Sexy means you look like you want some: although opinions on what is "sexy" vary a little, they are usually somewhat similar. (i.e., some men may like big breasts, other men might like petite ones, but all of them like breasts in some way)
