as a warriors fan, i honestly dont want KG. here is why the warriors shouldnt get him:
he is a great player still, and a future HOFer, but he will command a large salary and the warriors cant afford to pay him, barons extenstion, montas extension, and biedrins extention. KG has played a lot of minutes which means there is a lot of wear on him. KG is in his 30s already, i dont want to give up our future for KG. trading for KG likely means we will have to trade wright, monta, andris, harrington and some other people to match salary. which leaves us with a team of baron jackson SF KG C. thats a team that wont make the finals anyway so getting KG kills us in the future. and besides KG wants to go to phx, phx wants KG because their window of a ring is closing because nash is getting older. the perfect fit for KG is minnesota or phoenix. phoenix has tradable good players like marion or amare.and phx will still be good even though they give up a key piece to their team because they still have nash and will have KG.

Latest rumor I heard was:
"the Warriors are now offering Wright, Monta Ellis and Patrick O'Bryant" and possibly Al Harrington.
Minnesota will be young and good if this trade goes through. KG at 30 is past his prime but I think the W's have young enough talent to get bye.

KG will be a Minnesota lifer unless the Minnesota franchise owners want to turn 1/4 to 1/2 billion dollars to zero over night.
KG will retire a very rich man from Minnesota worth tens and tens of millions of dollars.
Why is everyone feeling so bad for KG. He is a good ball player.

I'm a Warriors fan and I dont want KG. He is past his prime. Brandan Wright is great and is getting better and is still young with tons of potential.

the rumor i heard (guess it ain't true anymore) was that the deal was being held up because the Warriors didn't want to give up Monta Ellis

I think that's just speculation my friend. It was more than a fact that they couldn't pay J.Rich and B.D., so having to pay K.G. along with Baron would be just as expensive. Though it sounds intriguing to me also, the reality is that they just can't pay K.G. and still retain Baron.

I'd love for that to happen, but truth is it won't unless there is at least one, possibly 2 more teams involved.
