It would take at least 50 floppy disks to save them all. Is there something else out there that can save a lot of capacity?

Back up all personal data from your PC, which means copy to CD / DVD or an external hard drive.

If your PC has a USB port, then there are many USB solutions. Pen / thumb drives can hold 4 GB+ and there's always external hard drives sold in @ all the box stores.

If you DON'T have a USB port, you can either buy a PCI card w/ USB ports on it or install a DVD burner where the CDROM lives. It might seem daunting, but it isn't hard. Depending on what type of DVD burner you install, you'll get 4 to 9 GB per DVD.

Almost forgot- if your PC is on a network, you can always map a drive to another computer and copy the data to it.

Make it point to backup your data often, and then keep the backup (DVD, thumbdrive, etc) offsite- ie: NOT right next to your PC. If you're data's important to you, consider a safety deposit box.

Buy a DVD writer for you computer and use a DVD disk to burn all you file on it. You can get DVD disk capacity ranging from 1GB to 8GB or more. With your DVD writer you can also write CDs capacity 800 MB maximum i think. Plus you can also watch CD or DVD movies on the same writer. I prefer keeping one combo and one DVD writer so that i dont put to much working pressure on one.
