And could anybody tell me how to do DOS attack within my own LAN ? (My computers run windows XP SP2)
And do I need an internet connection to do a DOS attack on a LAN ?

It's next to impossible to trace a credit card purchase over the Internet. Especially a fraudulent one. They can have that purchase shipped to one address or another and then pick it up from there.

When credit cards are processed, we dont know that they are fraudulent ahead of time, so we don't screen every transaction to the Nth degree.

Otherwise our resources would be exhausted and criminals would just double theirs efforts and elude us by just a couple more hurdles.
