President George W Bush told Palestinian ministers that God had told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq - and create a Palestinian State, a new BBC series reveals.

In Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, a major three-part series on BBC TWO (at 9.00pm on Monday 10, Monday 17 and Monday 24 October), Abu Mazen, Palestinian Prime Minister, and Nabil Shaath, his Foreign Minister, describe their first meeting with President Bush in June 2003.

A senior White House official has denied that the US president, George Bush, said God ordered him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.
A spokesman for Mr Bush, Scott McClellan, said the claims, to be broadcast in a TV documentary later this month, were "absurd".
In the BBC film, a former Palestinian foreign minister, Nabil Shaath, says that Mr Bush told a Palestinian delegation in 2003 that God spoke to him and said: "George, go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan" and also "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq".

YOU asked!!

My conscience is just fine Mind you I haven't dropped 200 tons of depleted (98%) Uranium on a population and wasted trillions to make America less safe - nor have I argued against the Geneva convention or justified torture or et up "free speech" zones or allowed arrestes without charge

I think it is Bush that needs to grow a conscience and just in case lets give him some anti pschotic drugs to keep those voices at bay

You know to read those that attack you makes me more and more convinced that some sort of trickery is being used to indoctrinate most of Amnerica. I hardly spend anytime at home these days so I am obviously avoiding the rays that are being transmitted....

It is a well known fact that the Evangelical Hypocrite did call upon God to substantiate his attack on Iraq...

Looking at him, you can see he is a destroyed man. He looks at the attacks in England as a vindication of his War OF Terror, the rest of us see his war as the cause of all the world's unrest.

You are correct, some sort of anti-psycotic drug is needed.

So, let me get this straight, because Nabil Shaath said so it is true?

Nabil Shaath is a known liar (look up the incidents regarding his claims of Israeli massacres when all evidence showed otherwise).

Besides, it seems a bit odd, no? Bush would not tell anyone else of his alleged private views on Iraq but he would tell them to Nabil Shaath and Abu Mazen? Maybe if it was a close friend of his it would have more credibility.

Dear ole' Dad feeling a bit of guilt, because of what he and Ronnie had done by helping to set Saddam up as dictator
in the first place. Do the words "Iran-Contra" ring any bells?
Not to mention that Saadam, then turned on them by trying to have Big George assinated

I asked God and He denied that He didn't encourage Dubya to do that. Instead He said Bin Laden and since Bush is going his own way he will find himself where it is awful hot and rhymes with swell. (I don't mean Florida)
