If the car was strong enough to contain the blast, its destructive over-pressure and fireball would be concentrated in the interior, greatly amplifying the damage to the contents.

Depending on the size of the bomb either the doors would be blown off(think the Italian job) 'cos doors are strong inwards not outwards, or if the bomb is big enough the whole body will disintegrate and the floor pan will flatten down, bigger than that and it will blast a crater in the ground.

You’re probably going to have to buy a new car - Bomb/Stab/Bullet proof anything only works one way... Not surprisingly this is due to cost (Why would you enforce both the inside and outside of a car at twice the price?)

Basically the car would be blown to bits... you’d be lucky to find more than the cigarette lighter!

..The car is designed to take explosions from the exterior (normally not a direct hit) but its design is such to withstand massive and sudden pressure from the outside...

...A similar force from the inside would be a direct hit and would cause pressure from the opposite to that of which the car is designed to withstand... ergo... Bye bye car!

Well, the car is protected from outside so that what is inside the car doesn't get damaged. But, if the bomb explodes inside the car itself, then whatever or whoever is inside it will surely be eliminated.

You obviously haven't seen the recent ad for the Volkswagen Polo!! It's great! And I think they've withdrawn it because of complaints!
