Gay men have lots of qualities, in general, that are attractive to straight women: good looking, keep themselves trim and fit, well dressed, well mannered, often cultured, don't treat women as sex objects, often educated, have women as friends without demands for sex or commitment, often sensitive and good sense of humor, often intelligent, often passionate about their work.

I have worked with gay men all through my life, many are my friends and some I have found extremely attractive. Why?
For all the reasons the first poster answered.
Many have a subtle sensitivity with which some women can identify better, also many have the best of both male and female characteristics. But, I also know men that have these qualities without been gay. So I suppose in a place where there are too many "macho" types, a gay man would be more attractive for a woman. JMO

Not necessarily. While both heterosexual females and gay males are going to ultimately looking for a male partner, this does not instantly mean the attraction is the same. Turn ons and offs are a personal question, so no two people will have the same response. Not two straight women, a mix, or two gay males will agree on what is a deciding physical or mental decider for them,

As someone who has a few gay male friends, I can't understand why straight women would be so persistant in trying to hit on a gay man, it's not like a woman can 'change' the gay man and get them to be interested in them.
But anyway, I feel comfortable talking with gay men as friends, they talk about their feelings in more depth, you can actually have a decent conversation with them, and it feels like there's more of a connection without any threat. But I get along with most people, whether straight/gay, man/woman.
But there are straight men that are great to talk with too.

I don't think women are looking for a challenge, or think that they want to see if they can change a gay man. That seems like a very biased point of view. Women like gay men because they are more like women, a lot of them. They can be more sensitive, their humor is fun, and, even if they are a biker, they aren't looking to be a jerk with women.

I think "emboidery fan" has a good answer, but it may be stereotypical. I have met some gay men who were bikers.
I would also like to add that women, being human, rise up to a challenge. Some women would love to say that they were the exception to someone's rule, so to speak.

I think women are usually attracted to gay guys because they are usually more sensitive, and women know that, some women find it as a challenge, thinking they can turn a gay man straight......I have been attracted to a gay guy before, and It was becuase he showed his feelings and he wasnt afraid to do so.

Why are such traits you described normally associated with gay men ??
Perhaps gay men turn out to be gay because they are good-looking and understand women, which results in them having relationships with many types of girls, and this in turn sort of leads them into tiring of women and turning to people of the same gender.
Maybe women are more interested in someone not so into them ?? Or maybe it's a supply and demand thingy??

Yeah, I seem to do this.
It's taken many "Failure" but now I understand that if I'm attracted to them then most likly they're gay.
I think it's the way they smell. They eat so well, and groom themselves very well. I guess I like this lots. Very hard to be in a world where you're attracted to something that doesn't like you back. Very "Shakesperian" and Midnight summers Dream like. My misfortune 4 sure.

I think it is because you get guy attention without worry that your guy friend is just putting you on "lay away" for a future date. Some men admit to having female friends in case they want a "friend with benefits." A gay friend is a friend without those worries.
