That really depends on what kind of fish you have. The percent of protein that each fish should consume differs with each species. Predator style fish need more protein then the styles that tend to graze. It is nutritions but not the best food for all fish. Generally, a good quality flake or pellet will take care of your fish's nutritional needs and you use the bloodworm as a special treat, say once a week or whenever you feel like it.

It is not essential to feed sufficient bloodworm for your fish to "get their fill". It's best to feed bloodworm as an occasional treat. This is because, although most fish love them, they are low on essential nutrition. Also, many frozen foods, such as bloodworm, contain a lot of phosphate, which can lead to an excessive growth of algae.

I usually put in 2 frozen blocks but i defrost them in the net in the tank first. Otherwise I found that the bigger fish were grabbing the block and the little fish were only getting the loose left overs. By defrosting them first in a net means they all get some.

Put in as many bloodworms as they will eat in 10 minutes, that gives the slower fish time to eat.

Feed your fish how much they will consume in 5 minutes, once a day everyday.
