slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

so slope = 10-1 / 3- (-9)

= 9 / 12
=3/4

ok you need to use the formula y=mx+b. but first you need to do delta y over delta x 3-1 over -9-10 you get a slope of 2 over -19. Next you use one of the points lets say (-9,1) Y=mx+b
1=-9x+b

or you could just graph it count the boxes that go up or down and count the number of boxes that go left or right

Either way you get the same answer -12 over 9

m = (10 - 1) / (3 - (-9))
m = 9 / 12
m = 3 / 4
