Pick up a "Key Words" book.
This type of book will usually teach you how to interpret the symbols in your chart.
Then the book gives you "key words" to associate with each of the symbols.
In this way, you start to learn the ancient "language" of astrology.

Astrology is not a common course. It needs concentration, Vedic knowledge, geography, mathematics besides Healthy mind and Trust. To learn astrology you should learn it from Good Teacher(Guru). Self learning Will not serve the purpose. If you become a astrologer, your worlds will influence other lives. So set your mind and find a good teacher.

Most of us started with Parkers Astrology.
The older editions are very inexpensive now and you can take your time and learn the differences.
Other people start out with a cheap software or demo program and learn from there.
For me since I learned before there were home computers, I started with the basic beginner books and learned from there.

My data base has shown about 90% of what is written about astrology is incorrect. This is why my data base was formed and much research has gone into it. The best way to learn, if you are interested in the science of astrology, is to start your own data base. Reading what others write is typically conter productive.

you just get into it and then you buy books on it and look up stuff about it. then you become an expert and know everything about it. it's really easy stuff. i love it though.
