I had a m/c last month at 5 weeks. It was a complete m/c, no need for d&c and in fact started only two days after my period was due. I knew I was pregnant because I did three positive pregnancy tests- all "early" tests like First Response Digital. The m/c was just like a period, though- lasted 5 days and some cramping. Spoke to doctor and Miscarriage Association and they advised as it was so early on, it was fine for us to try again straight away. So we have been ttc again this month and now my period is due on wednesday (in three days). I don't know whether to test again early and then run the risk of being very disappointed if I have another early m/c, or whether to wait until I am a few days late (i.e. beyond the point I started to miscarry at last time). I have a few posiible symptoms, e.g. sore boobs and tiredness, but they could be nothing. If I am pregnant and I do miscarry again, is it better to know I was pregnant at all? Anyone else been in this position and what did you do?

On average it takes about six weeks before your hormone levels get back to normal after a miscarriage. Longer for some people. I think your best bet would be to give it a little time and go see your doctor. God only knows when a pregnancy test will be accurate again. Good luck!
Oh, and to answer your other question, it may be better to wait until after the point where you were last time. I was told by my doctor that I was carrying twins and miscarried one of them (which I didn't even know was possible) and felt terrible about it. I think I would have been happier not knowing at all, as my little boy was born very healthy.

Wait until after you miss a period!
I had two early miscarriages - it usually means there was something wrong - they don't usually happen for no reason!
They are very common - one in ten women have them!
Once you know you are pregnant for definite go to your GP and rest as much as possible and eat and exercise healthily!
Other than that if it is going to happen there isn't much you can do to prevent it!
If you should be unfortunate enough to suffer a second one then go into hospital and have a D and C - then you should be third time lucky - that is what I did and I was!

I think that you should go to your ob/gyn and have a complete exam to see if there is a reson your body had the m/c to start with. As far as wanting to know if you are p/g that is your choice it depends on what you can handle. I think you should take sometime to let your body heal and greive. But if you think you are p/g go to the doctor and get a blood test. I would think that you might be in a high risk if you have just had a m/c
I am sorry for your loss and I hope that you have a beatiful heathly baby when the time is right.
Good Luck.

I used them for me first pregnancy, bu this time around I'm waiting for a missed period. My doctor told me about 50% of pregnancies end in a miscarriage before your period is even due, and I wouldn't want to get my hopes up.
