Nick Altrock & Minnie Mkinoso. Minnie tried to make it seven but MLB said no.

In the majors, Minnie Minoso has the "decades" record -- he played in the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, so that's five. He did have a token minor league appearance in the 1990s.

Minoso's years: 1949, 1951-64, 1976, and 1980. The last two were real playing time, but basically were PR stunts.

Nick Altrock also has five calendar decades in the majors -- 1898, 1902-09, 1912-15, 1918-19, 1924, 1928-29, 1931, 1933. Don't see that sort of career profile any more....

Minosco played in 5 decades
Altrock played in 4 decades
Rick Dempsey played in 4 decades (but is still around baseball so that makes 5) (1969 - present)

Good question.I cant think of six decades. The closest i got was Nolan Ryan and Rickey Henderson but that is 5 and 4.Unless you count coaches. Then you have Joe Torre and Lou Pinella
