Classics like the wall, riders on the storm, and others, should they be sacrificed for the dance floor?

I personally don't like remixes. I think most of the time they sound stupid but I'm sure there are people out there that like them. As long as they have permission or copyright I guess it is ok. I wouldn't want to be in a club and here a techno dance version of Pink Floyd or Jim Morrison. I think I might puke a little! Ha! That would be horrible, but I guess there are people out there who like it. It's kind of funny though that a lot of the people who like these remixes probably don't even know a thing about the original artist.

Depends on the purpose, sometimes remixes have helped the originals to make a comeback.

Do you think Jimi Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower" would have been as cool if he had copied it from Bob Dylan, note for note?

Rearranging music is a form of homage. As long as the pay the royalty fees to the artists, I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

No I don't think that mixing an old rock anthems is a sacrificing.I think those songs also must be known all puclic area. That's why I am strongly advice that those old Rock classics must be re-edit,mixed or remixed.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

(I do have more to say on the matter but this is how I FEEL).

It's an easy way for the cover band to make money because younger people already know the melody/chorus, whatever and it makes the song more familiar to them. Therefore, more catchy.

Mm, no. I completely hate remixes, they ruin songs.
