It sure sucks that the government can decide whether you're allowed to smoke in your own car.

I do understand the smoking-ban in restaurants and other public buildings, tho I'm sure that, if any effort was taken, restaurants could apply special ventilation-equipment in separate spaces, to accommodate the smokers.

IMHO no-one else than me should be able to decide whether I am allowed to smoke in my own house, or in my own car.
For years already I ask people who visit me at home if they object to me smoking indoors, and if they do, I respect that, and will I have my smokes on my balcony....so it's not as if I'm an anti-social person. (something a lot of non-smoking people seem to automatically associate with smokers....SO unfair!!)

No, never smoked and never will. My bank account is much happier for it, as well as my health.

Good luck with the smoking, just keep it to yourself.
