When you file bankruptcy, an immedate stay(hold) is placed on all actions. So it would at least temporarily stop the foreclosure. Depending on the outcome of your bankruptcy you may or may not still loose the house.

However, in reality this is probably too short of a timeline to be able to get everything filed in 1 day. In order to even have a chance you would have to call a lawyer first thing in the morning, hopeing that they did not decide to take a week off for the 4th of July holiday. You need to be able to list all of the people you owe money to, as well as all of your assets. They would also require payment up front before they will file. Depending on which Bankruptcy you qualify for this could be anywhere from about $1800-$3000. Because of the time limit involved, you could expect that they will also charge you a few hundred dollars on top of the regular fee to expedite it.

Although the possibility, minute as it is, is there the probability of pulling it off is practically nill. It takes a few days to gather the necessary documentation, and prepare the documents, then getting an appointment with the courts, sorry but I think you waited too long on this one.
