its a real good idea to,but most oils now are engineered to run a little longer, you can actually run up to 4 k on a oil change and not damage the engine at all, most manufacturers now recommend that you change it every 4-5 thousand miles, but it wont hurt it to go a little farther, i think 4 k is plenty of miles on regular oil,i wouldn't go over that,it just helps the engine last a lot longer by keeping it changed regularly, good luck with it hope this helps.

i these days won the comparable tips. It stated that newer autos with the newer subtle oils substitute the oil approximately each and every 5000 miles. and that i even examine 7500 miles. I also have a 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider with purely approximately 50,000 miles and use it regularly in city components at approximately 5000 miles a year, now i could pass to that 5000 mile advice however the single subject that i could do is to a minimum of substitute the clear out each and every 3000 or so miles. which will furnish greater efficient insurance against placed on. maximum autos that have a moist sump have the clear out severe adequate on the engine block so as that the oil won't drain out while it particularly is replaced.

No not every 3000 miles. But regular oil filter changes are important or the filter will become clogged. If you only cover 3000 miles a year then it would be better changing oil annually as oil degrades over time.

Generally, yes you do.
Not changing oil is a major reason engines wear prematurely or break down. I know there a lot of conflicting opinions, but I look at it as cheap insurance and have put at least 150K on every car I've owned.
I change every 3000, maybe 4000 if I've driven a lot of highway miles-no more.

Totally out of date.
Most cars can go 7000 miles on an oil change provided you use a quality oil filter like Wixs and a quality motor oil like Penzoil, Mobil......

Not really but you should. Depends on your driving needs. If you are in an area that's dusty, yes. If you get on the freeways or highways everyday, yes. if you just go back and forth to the grocery store, no. Oil is like your blood. The life of the machine. Keep it clean.
