You are exhausted and plan to relax at a movie. Friends need a babysitter so they can attend an important meeting. Do you babysit?

Depends upon how good the friends are and how important the meeting is and if they could find somebody else or not. If I were in your situation, I'd let them know that I have plans, but if they can't find anybody else that I would help.

Yes, and I watch a movie with the kiddies, and make it a big movie deal popcorn, and drinks and candy and when the friend is back from the function I go home and crash from the sugar rush.

If I am tired after a long day this is what I do with my kids... We eat dinner, get ready for bed, and make a pallate (that is like a bed of blankets for ya'll city folk) on th floor and watch movies until we are too tired to watch anymore. I usually end up putting them to bed durring the first one, and watching a grown up movie afterwards.

I know it is not what you wanted to do, but that is what friends are for. We make sacrafices for the people we love, and we feel better when we do it.

Now if it is just for the friend to go out and have fun, and not for something important, like you said it was; then I usually explain to them that I was looking forward to relaxing and maybe I could do it another night when we planned it out better.

well its ur friend and somehow u will want to be a real friend so will. But if i am really tiered as u seems then try to explain to them that u can't make it, make up a lie or something so u can relax since u are exhausted.

Do what you want to do. If it's a good friend, you should cover for her. you won't regret it because she'll pay you back. Friends come first.Hope I helped! =]!
