both of them are politic. because, politics means conflict, compromise, war, peace, agree, disagree, hate, toleration, respect, inspect, honest, dishonest....etc. as black or white (not skin)

I totally agree with you.A debate is an argument conducted under the 'rule of debate'. One side presents an argument and other presents a counter-argument,and supporters of either side are given an opportunity to add their comments. It is a nice, civilised, way to behave, but the the 'rule' is often broken, even (horror of horrors!),with the Nation watching, in Parliament. It gets even worse 'on the street' and in in many households, and Y!A isn't immune from it either. What a shame that so many people have so little control over their better side and show so much disrespect to other users. And some people even ask on here how to get back in when they've been kicked out! Freedom of speech is not intended to be a total freedom to say anything ,no matter how aggresive, ignorant,or abusive it may be. It has laws concerning it,and rightly so. Unfortunately,I doubt the Yahoo Team has the personell to monitor every question and answer, and also users who make too many complaints may be given a diminished status by the Team. It is the sad price we pay for living in a 'free' country, which unfortunately is not free from abuse, whether it is physical, verbal,or written.

Yes, I do. I do not attack people personally. But, please don't let it bother you. These people are foolish enough to think they can get away with such behavior but, they are sadly mistaken. If you ever feel threatned or harrassed to the point you find this person is stepping over legal bounds regardless over the Internet, then you can save this information and Law Enforcement can track their IP address to the computer they are using at either their public or private residence and you take legal action against them if you feel this is the appropriate action. Internet harrassment is not legal either. Many police departments have IT departments now where they handle men and women who stalk, harrass, threaten, or sexualize people over the Internet.

abortion
euthanasia
guns
illegals & amensty
taxes
prayer and bibles in schools
term limits
automatic pay raises for congress
free trade agreements
eleminating such entities as the IRS
any liberal or conservative can voice their support/opposition of any of these and other issues ( or support/oppose those with a certain view).
Attacking a person:
Fundi...111111111... you are such an idiot for believing that conservative idea.
tree-hugger...0000000... you look like the monkey you want to be related to.
I tried not to match exactly any name.I don't mind discussing R&S,politics or any other subject if the person explains their view & not just curse, mock&call names.

I have no interest in "attacking" any person on YA, although, from time to time I will poke fun at the chronically stupid. On the other hand, I will point out the fallacies of liberalism at every good opportunity. Most liberals learned their views through mis-education by leftist teachers. Conservative answers on YA should be seen as what they are - remedial education.

I have read a hundred of your questions and can honestly say, that you appear to be a reasonable human being...I disagree with about 90% of your reasoning, but hey, this is America...But the point is that I actually listen to people like you that have a different opinion from mine...I constantly look inward to my own thought mechanism to see if my thoughts are coherant...my own logic structure is not defined by others, but i do listen and adjust...I wish others who are so entrenched could come out of their shell hole to see that there is a world out there that they cannot hope to completely control or even understand, an realize that any belief that is worth believing in is subject to change

It is called ad hominem. Personal attacks are a logical fallacy in political discourse.

Yes. Some folks on here feel the need to personally attack others because they are incapable of supplying intelligent answers. Name-calling, insults, defamation of character...It is their pitiful way of making themselves feel superior because they can not do it with facts, theories, ideas and rational opinion. Sad, isn't it?

Some people don't. I gave an example the other day about someone [ a senator] other than who I was talking to, and I got flagged. Let freedom ring.

Great question!! I think I know.
Disagreeing with an ideology would be saying something like "liberalism is a mental disorder."
Personal attacking would be saying something like "you mf*&% neocon moron, grow up." In the 4th e-mail after you told the person to leave you alone.
ADDED: "Mann Coulter is gender confused." Or "You are crazy..." People: Public figures and even group ideologies are fine. Don't attack other users, they aren't famous and they don't matter to politics. LOL
