I was unsure if I was going to keep a pair of shoes so I put duck tape on the bottom. When I peeled the tape off, some of the adhesive stuck on the back and now I need it off! Lol - Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure about tape glue, but I've used vegetable oil, baby oil, and skin so soft (body oil from Avon) on other sticky stuff and it works well with no harsh, drying chemicals. Actually, the baby oil works the best, IMO. (My son had a sticker collection on the side of a TV. When he outgrew them, I peeled off what I could, and soaked the surface overnight. It came off with a minor rub with a cloth rag.) Hope this helps!

Blessings

ps Wipe it with a soapy cloth (dishsoap is best) and rinse when you're done to get rid of any oily residue.

lighter fluid is good but start with alcohol and work up. Buy some duck tape the color of your soul and do a neat job on the whole thing, gorilla tape.

This sounds strange but get some lighter fluid the kind that you but in zippo lighter. put it on the area that has the glue and rub off it won't damage your shoes. Just make sure you rinse off the lighter fluid before you wear them again.

In spite of common vernacular and even erroneous ads on tv, its DUCT tape, not duck tape.

WD 40 works great. Just make sure you get as much of it off as possible when you clean it off. It aslo works on bumper stickers and those car dealership stickers.
