In my own opinion, Ramayana and Mahabharata are unique and amongst the greats epics of the world. May be the wars and other incidents did happen sometime or other. Several proofs for happening of these epics are available. For instance the Rama Bridge detected by NASA tells us the truth. The facts told in Bhagwat Gita can not be told by human beings even in these days and researches reveal more and more new meanings. Like this we can tell so many things and I am not competent enough to elaborate them. All these show that really these two happened. May be some mythological stories in these are written by different people at different times. -
