i put disel in my car instead of gass .
what's gonna happen?

First get a good gas mask before you start the car. You need to siphen out the diesel and fill it with gas, its going to smoke {ALOT}

Well i actually did this once too it made it 6 miles then the car stopped running we syphoned out all the diesel filled it with a couple gallons of gas took a few crancks but the car started up just fine did smoke a little bit when we got it started it was jsut cleaning itself out so no it doesn't hurt the engine my car ran fine for another 2 years till i sold it and it still runs fine the guy i sold too still drives back and forth to work and actually a few gallons of diesel every once in a while helps clean the engine like 1 gallon not much more than that and not very often

Do not run the engine find a place to dispose of bad fuel about $6.00 a gallon. You must get the diesel contaminated gasoline out and fill up with premium fuel to dilute what is left. The engine will start knocking black smoke and the engine will stall. Fuel injection cars just need the drain and refill procedure. Old Carburetor cars fuel pump diaphragms can be destroyed by diesel. If you only put in one gallon into a 14 gallon tank just drive the fuel out. 10% diesel will just really run poorly and really clean the carbon out of the motor. And white bluish smoke.

nothing except its not gonna run. Your spark plugs wont light it and the compression is not enough to do so either. Its like adding oil to the engine in the cylinders instead of the crankcase. You will need your fuel system drained completely including lines and filters. Then add gas and you are ready to go. No damage. If you only mixed diesel with some gas already there, go ahead and try to start it. If its only a litte diesel, and will run, it will smoke a while until you burn that tank full up, then refill with gas and go on. No problem.

It depends on the quantity you put in...if there is enough, such
as several gallons you must find a way to drain the fuel tank...
and the small quantity remaining will dilute with a fillup of gasoline...you might also add some fuel additives....it will burn through and should not cause any harm...even the cat converter will burn out the unwanted fuel in a short time....

Get as much out of the tank as you can. You may even want to pull the tank and drain it. Then you should change the fuel filter and fill it full of gas this time. Good luck.

if you haven't started it u r ok so far, drain it out by siphoning the diesel out and fill up with gas. 1 gl will not hurt, but if u started it, u will have to flush the fuel system and hopefully the injectors will survive. but diesel will ruin a carb, so get ready.

1 gallon?
10 gallons?
If it was just a little bit, no biggie.....
If it was a lot, you need to drain and flush the system.
