This is a tough question but I'd say neither.
People that have said he's overrated haven't watched him play as much as somebody like a bear fan (such as i) have seen them play. (If anybody has watched the miraculous comeback against the Arizona Cardinals you'll understand what I am talking about)< that was crazy how urlacher singlehandedly took over that football game.
People that would say Urlacher is underrated are just stupid because he has made the pro bowl nearly every year of his NFL career. Also, he is known as the NFL's BEST LINEBACKER that is still playing.

C'mon....no way in the world is he overrated. There's never been a linebacker with a package of his speed, quickness and knowledge of the game.
Ray Lewis at his peak couldn't do what Urlacher has been doing since coming into the NFL.
The guy had 25 tackles and forced a fumble for a key TD in that game against Arizona. I don't think any one defensive player ever had a game like that.
He's underrated. I have him #4 All-Time on my list right now...another two year's and he'll be right there with Butkus.

He is very underrated, I went to the Jets Bears game last year and it seemed as if he made every tackle andthe Jets could have possibly won that game if he didn'y pick off that duck in the endzone. He really is the best LB in the NFL today because he can cover receivers in the Bears coverage scheme, has the speed and strength to stop the run, and can chase down QB's such as Vick a few years ago.

He's an animal.
He is all over the field making the plays that need to be made.
He is the hands down leader of that defense.

Ask Mike Vick if Urlacher is overvalued. The Falcons with Vick have been no longer able to topple the Bears and between the main motives is that Urlacher performs a great place in preserving Vick on lockdown. Like final season whilst he knocked vick into the middle of next week.

Neither he is not over rated and is definitely recognized for the talent that he has.

I don't know how he could possibly be under rated I don't know how the commentators could possibly drool over him any more

way way way over rated......he is a great linebacker.....but people give him way to much credit just because he is the backbone of the bears defense........some people think there defense is only him....most people on that defense are good players...so he is over rated....but he is still a great player

He can bring it.Hes no Rey Lewis but he is one of the best.Under rated
