Goodwill is a charity. You donate (give) to them.
You can get 'money' for it only if you can claim the value of your donation on your tax return.

There is a huge gap between being affluent and homeless. If one is homeless, why would one do with used furniture until they have a home? Do you mean people who have recently moved from a homeless state to having a home? I agree that our society's priorities are messed up and that there should be agencies that provide the necessities to those who have no means to acquire them on their own. In the meanwhile, there are a lot of low-income families that can get used clothes/furniture at a bargain. Many of my neighbors are low-income families that aren't poverty-stricken enough to qualify for some aid, but also do not have a lot of disposable income. What is your solution for these families? There are many layers in the economic strata, so don't be so judgemental of people who rely on Goodwill. It is also good policy to recycle in general. Why support Walmart or other companies whose cheap products exploit child labor, or why buy new products when manufacturing uses precious resources when you can buy reused items? I don't know any affluent people rumaging through GoodWill.

Goodwill does not buy anything. It is all donated, as in given for free. You can get a receipt for your iems that you can use to claim a charitible deduction at income tax time.

Donate for MONEY ? That is an oxymoronic statement !!
NO, Goodwill will NOT pay you for items. As their name suggests, they are asking for your GOOD WILL, rather than your GREED.
However, they WILL give you a reciept for tax-deduction purposes.

If you do donation, you can't get money for this, but this is tax deduction, so get extra money from your tax return. If you want to sell your staff go to second hand store, they will pay you money for this.
