[[ I can't explain why I've been on Y.A. sites
moderately nonstop for 2 1/2 months.

But CAN state that it isn't the avatars, per se.

Yet, there are a few which are mesmerizing.

Saw yours and HAD to get it in my profile. ]]

** Ok, where were we? Ah yes, Music!

If you only knew the care and love and passion
and self-imposed precision and time that I've
put into cultivating the music for my own listening
indulgence!

I've thrown together themed compilations,
flips-of-coin-random collections, carefully
selected order lists, it just goes on.

Even some Abba-to-ZZ Top, including
James Brown and Stereolab, and the
Gipsy Kings and BB King, and some live
Dead Can Dance.

One of my fave-received Best Answers
is from someone who was reaching-out
because they'd never really "done music,"
and has time now--and, my pet part--
feels nothing from most of what's force-fed
to us on the airwaves.

So I pitched four separate genres, with
ONLY ONE example for each. They'd
heard of NONE of them, and in a week
had reached conclusion that it was good
enough stuff to own.

Beautiful!

^^^Added EDIT: My diversity has created
almost as much scuffle as my sense of
dry, dry humour. On a Jeff Beck site once
I'd tried to discuss how intensely miscalculated
AND truly bluesy Angus Young is. Boy did
they think they let me have it. They sure loved
me upon my openings as to just how much
Beck can mop the floor with Page (ask J.P.
himself!) on a sick day. Oh, they were all
over me with flowers and candy.

*Note: I write this as one of Pagey's deepest
and staunchest fans. It's ALL about the music
however--I couldn't tell you his fave color or
what he likes on his toast. I believe perspective
is elemental.

Life's great though, so...happy July!

Anybody with a CD burner and who downloads songs has to at one point or another made a compilation. I have made tons throughout the years. As for what I put on it, everything I listen to from metal to rap to punk to industrial to screamo. One song would be Pantera the next will be Less Then Jake and the next Tech N9ne.
