You know they want you to believe that the Vietnam peace protesters have all taken off their flowers and donned their business suits and are only interested in getting rich and fat. Not so, I and many of my friends who were active against the war in those days are still fighting the good fight and strongly protesting US aggression in Iraq today. Nothing will ever change. I will be against the expansion of the US empire until I die and my good friends from the Vietnam war days will continue to stand by me.

nostrildammoose is not correct. The Vietnam peace protestors are very much alive and many of them make up this generation's anti-war movement. The trouble with that is that the younger generation can't get very enthusiastic about a lot of old songs and slogans that inspired my generation. They need something fresh and new.
My son is an unapologetic flaming liberal just like me. Not everyone "sold out."

These protesters were the youth of the 60s and 70s. I guess I wonder when the youth of today will pull themselves out away from their video games and try to have an impact on the world around them.

Probably when the draft starts again (not long after we invade Iran).

They grew up. realized if we want peace we have to have war. If not then other countries would take over and run our country.
