when you get done with your period try excercising a lot. i suggest doing crunches or running.
i play tennis a lot (7 hours a day in the summer, 3 hours a day in the school year) and i have NEVER gotten cramps during my period and i attribute this to excercise. i could be wrong though, excercising might not work for everyone because everyone's body is different.
if excercise doesn't work for you i suggest taking midol. that's what my friend uses when she gets cramps and she says it works really well.
also, you should talk to your mom/doctor/sister/gynecolgist because they can help you better than anyone on yahoo answers can! i'm 14 by the way, so i hope you know that this advice is coming from someone that's around you age and not coming from someone thats like 50 yrs old lol.
good luck

Stay away from caffeine the week before and during your cycle. Also, make sure that you drink plenty of clear fluids (water, juice no soda) and eat healthy. This should help relieve some of the discomfort. However, if they continue to the point where you can't function, talk with your mom and consider getting a check up to make sure it isn't something more serious.

alright, now cramps are caused from a chemical released into your body when you start menstruation.. and some women most then others have more of a chemical then others... to help this, rest alot, just sleep, and if thats not an option take alot of baths, it is proven that the more a women stays in the bathwater that the cramps are relieved, because the pressure of the water helps with the pressure.. hope that helps.. and take asprin. because aspirin thins your blood flow..

I know you are 13 and really don't want to do this, but you should actually talk to your doctor about your bad cramps. He will be able to prescribe something or suggest something that will help you with the discomfort.

Sometime being active can help. Or even pain-relievers can work to. I use to have really bad ones. When i just did nothing it made it worse, but when i became active even though it was painful and almost unbearable. I just put it in the back of my mind. But I don't know what else to tell you.

take an aspirin,
then take a bath with luke warm water and just relax
try not to think about it so keep yourself entertained!
and keep the pad heating things to the sore area after, just go to sleep with relaxing music on...

Ask your mom to put you on birth control, tell her about the cramps. Birth control will get rid of most of the cramps.

Yikes! Lay off the Aleve. Four tablets of ANYTHING is much too much. Definitely alert your Mom; she knows a thing or two about a thing or two, right? Feel better, honey.
