They call it Green Bay because the Bay in Green Bay has a Green color to it, Green Bay is a very beautiful City and a nice place to go.

I don't know, but the Packers got their name from the #3 industry in Green Bay- meat packing. If they would have been named after the #1 industry, they would have been called, The Green Bay Toilet Roll Makers! True story!

I lived in Green Bay WI, and they call it Green Bay by the Color of the Water, and its Nice too.

Didn't have Chlorine and such to keep the bay clean back then and ended up with lots of Algae in it. So people just thought it was green.
