Anyway, fairy tales always have happy ending, that's why they are called so...

Most fairy tales are metaphors for life, and the journey, and the orginal versions are quite dark. The orginal ending to Sleeping Beauty had her waking up to the twins she gave birth to suckling on her breasts. The Little Mermaid died in the end of Hans Christian Anderson tale.
