Out of the choices you gave, e is the closest to being correct. Probability will tell you that there is a 50:50 chance of any one child being a boy or a girl.
However, statistics indicate that you actually have a slightly increased probability of having a boy, atleast those in the United States. 51% of babies born in the United States are boys, while 49% are girls.

In theory, 50-50 or 1/2. I have read of one study where the length of time involved in lovemaking was measured against the viability of male sperm (carrying the y chromosome) versus female sperm (carrying the x chromosome). The findings indicated that the longer it goes on, the greater the viability of the female sperm, because of the changes in chemistry in the vagina over time. Other than that, 1/2.

It is believed that slightly more boys are conceived than girls
106 boys to 100 girls. The reason being that it was said that boys were slightly more likely to miscarriage/premature/early infant death leading to a theoretical ratio 1:1 ratio boys to girls. With improved Antenatal and neonatal care more boys are now surviving leading to a slight excess imbalance of males.
This imbalance is again affected by more males being killed in accidents(risk taking) and war

For all those that said 50/50 they are wrong!! That was my first answer when I was doing maths last year (probability) but my teacher said it was 51% or 52% more likely to have a boy!!!
Crazy I know but there are actually more boys in the class room than girls (unless it is an all girls school!!) now a days.
