Movies: Bull Durham, The Natural, Major League, *61. I really like Fever Pitch but it may fall somewhat flat for those (sadly misguided) fans who don't follow the Red Sox.
Docs: Ken Burns' Baseball*, The Life And Times Of Hank Greenberg
* Burns' Baseball is a nine-chapter (thematically called "innings") film, about 20 hours long, so plan your vacation around it. The first few suffer in comparison to the later ones, as there was very little or no film footage to use. The middle innings, particularly the 1920-50s (innings 2-8 cover a decade each, 1900s through 1960s), are utterly brilliant, documentary filmmaking at its best. There are a lot of talking heads, some who repeat so often you'll get sick of them, but Red Barber makes a surprise cameo and Buck O'Neill emerges as the star of the entire epic. You'll also get sick of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", and begin to wonder if Burns realized baseball was played outside of New York and Boston. It has flaws, sure, but it is a magnificent piece of work and well worth watching.

Wow! Tons of baseball movies come to mind.
The ones everyone will tell you is Major League, Field of Dreams, The Natural, and Bull Durham.
I would also suggest Eight Men Out and "61" (Great movie directed by Billy Crystal).
If you want a couple to watch with family, I would go for The Rookie with Dennis Quaid or The Sandlot.
If you want a couple to watch with your significant other, I would suggest For the Love of the Game or Fever Pitch.
