Never theoretically.In practice around 75.Loss of potency possible earlier due to low testerone level.hormone imbalance,poor nutrition,BP and diabetes.These are having remedies.But in most cases it is due to psycholgical conditions.
In a study conducted it is the woman that first get disinterested in sex.This leads to lesser activity in the partner and early impotency.People who are engaged in EMR or polygamy retain the potency for longer years.

Men, or should i say males begin to lose their potency when they are in their late teens. Unfortunately, that is when their sexual stamina is pretty poor.
Where as women's is acheived in their late 20's/early 30's.

mens potency depends almost 100% on testosterone levels and it starts to drop off around 45 and in many men a lot sooner than 45..I advise all men over 40 to have their testosterone levels tested routinely and particularly if they notice they cant hold an erection to complete intercourse or they are losing interest in sex.Its now normal for men to have testosterone supplements as they grow older.Testosterone is the fountain of youth and is readily available through mens health doctors.It protects heart health, muscle strength etc etc and acts to prevent diabetes,obesity,lethargy and sex drive and strength

Basically we don't.
However it is coming to light that older dads have malfunctioning sperm that may be leading to the high incidence of Autism. So I guess the swimmers age like the eggs.
