For the record, Star Wars is science fantasy, NOT Sci-Fi.
Sci-Fi does not stray too far away from reality.
Or at least, that is my opinion...

2001 Space Odyssey not with standing then it could be Logan's Run, Lost in Space (original), the Andromeda Strain, Close encounters of the Third Kind, Videodrome, Blade Runner, Total Re-call, Terminator, Crash, Bodysnatchers, Stepford Wives and the classics are films whose names i can't remember "the one with the robot that is evil and they have to jettison the nice robot off in to space to save the ship, last scene is nice robot watering plants with a watering can" and the other is where a man stops taking his government prescribed drugs is chased by Police officers on bikes and then placed in a large white room. Someone above has just mentioned farenheit 451 that is such a cool film.
