OK, I live in the city so don't have a ton to cover and my back yard is fenced, but I have a lovely neighbor, who is "insane" and he comes over when I'm gone and walks by and pulls out my plants, I raise and sell flowers. I don't have much money but I'd like to buy some type of movement activated pinhole type camera and turn him in to the police. He is an electronics buff himself, so if I put it up I will have to make sure he can't see it. This has been going on for years, and I'm sick of it. any suggestions ? I have no idea where to start but I want it legally on video. and so I can show it to him and show him I know what he is doing,. He does it in the day time but is very casual and sneaky about it as if he is picking a flower and pulls up the whole 3 ft. tall flower plant

in the summer about 3 years ago. someone came into my very exposed and open front yard and dug up a huge poppy plant between 10-noon in the middle of the day, I don't think he would hesistate to dismantle anything he can see!!! But I suppose if he had to climb up on my roof, that might be a bit too obvious huh >?

There is a company that sells really inexpensive cameras that can be covert. They sell everything from floodlight cameras to tiny cameras. The company's name is Security Cameras Direct. Click the link below and type covert into the search field and you can search all of the cameras. If you need help with how to use and install it you can call them and they will walk you through it. 800-316-6027

Maybe a dog would prevent him from going into your backyard, or locks on the gates? I would also inform the police about his activity. If you do install a security camera, don't show him the video. He knows what he is doing. Show the police. You may also need to place signs that state that security cameras are in use. You don't want him climbing up on your roof and fall off and then sue you.

IMO, you don't want the camera hidden, you want it displayed where he (and everyone else) can see it. It's a more effective deterrent that way. Of course, it would have to be mounted in a place that cant be reached and damaged. Perhaps high on an exterior wall or under the eaves of the roof.

I hate to say this, but google it. Something like "security cameras". Walmart might even have them. Some of them you can even hook up to your computer. I would'nt show it to him. I'd show it to the police.
