I want to hear from the hardcore conservatives here. Tell me all about your hatred of Bill Clinton and all of the bad things that he's responsible for and how terribly our country suffered under his leadership. You won't change my mind that he was one of the best presidents in US history, but I'd really like to understand your undoubtedly rational argument.
Many thanks!

From the answers I'm getting, I have determined that hardcore conservatives must sleep late on Sundays. Hey it must be really exhausting having to make up all the garbage that they spout nonstop!

Not to invalidate your argument, but the 300 Texas defenders at the Alamo fought to the death even though out numbered ten to one. Nearly 1000 Mexican troops were killed. The Mexicans could not have afforded too many more "victories" like the Alamo. So next time, use a different analogy. I always like to bash the French.

Well Brad H got it right. Even if Rush never really said all that, he certainly should have. Conservatives hate Clinton because he did such an outrageously fantastic job. He made liberal policies work and work well. He made a mockery of the conservative viewpoint. He brought our nation closer to touchy-feely equality that liberals so long for. God, the conservatives must have been sh*tting in their pants! They must have been so filled with hate! Women and minorities were getting equal treatment! Poor people were being treated with dignity! Colored ladies with children were being gainfully employed! It was all so.....not conservative! It smacked of actual Christian principles of which Jesus would have approved, rather than hollow, hate-filled conservative rhetoric meant only to denigrate and defame (in the name of Christ of course). I can truly understand the conservative misery now....

Rush Limbo once said ,Bill Clinton is a great president he has made America flourish with pride, humanity and economic security. This is why we must destroy him.We must start taking away freedoms of the masses and distribute money to only us who deserve it.

It baffles me that what seems so clear is clouded by more deceptions & propaganda. I will give you this much he is the most creative President since Poppa Joe Kennedy. In my opinion.
9-11. If the CIA and FBI were functioning properly, not separate & apart would America have been better protected against attacks. It took a long time to learn how to keep an a/c aloft to hit the towers full throttle. It is my understanding during the Clinton administration it was common knowledge yet nothing was done to change how these offices operated.
Thank you very much.
Applause to the Bi partisan above. Like mine several of your links are closed down. It has happened alot since February if you followed the Clinton's b4. The JFK stuff, also a treat. Thanks for making this more interesting. I apologize for my earlier cartoon reference. I got some current links for my notes and some good debate . Mahalo.
Ascott? Where did you come up with the Alamo and Jesus would approve of employed women of color? Your points but wow! You took baffled to another level right there. You said it and no one will change or try? to your mind. But?? Touchy , feely? Really?
No disrespect intended.

I do not hate Clinton, he is not worth it.
He disgraced the office. He is a liar and a cheater. He cheated on his wife repeatedly and played the infamous what is is game. The incident I refer to is Monica Lewinsky. She engaged in oral sex with him and he denied it was sex, after he lied about it. The proper answer is this is between me and my wife. Instead, he lied under oath and was caught. This is perjury. We cannot have that from a president.
He refused to deal with terrorism. He was so obsessed with his image that he did not want to tarnish it. He ignored the pending Al Qaeda threat (as have Republican presidents). See the true story of Black Hawk Down. We got into Somalia and cut and ran when there were casualties. Clinton let our dead soldiers get dragged in the streets. Terrorists learned that cause some blood and Americans would run. He had the responsibility to deal with terrorism and did not.
He is a closeted liberal. When he came into office, he wanted to raise taxes all over the place. I thank Newt Gingrich for shutting down the government in 1995.
The whole prosperity in the 1990s had nothing to do with him. I strongly dislike the credit he is given. The good economy was a paper tiger. The problem was investors went crazy over technology and bid up stocks to way more than what they were worth. Amazon.com was at $130 at some point in 2000, yet they never had a break even quarter at the time. At some point, the market had to correct itself. That time did happen, towards the end of his presidency.

Well, let's start with foreign policy.
He tried to bring peace to the Middle East by getting Arafat everything he said he wanted, and that didn't work, which took Bill completely by surprise.
No clear reason was ever given for our presence in Kosovo.
He reacted like a coward in Mogadishu.
And the military...
He cut their funding significantly, reducing our capacity to dangerous levels, and used cruise missiles in what has to be the most ineffective show of force since the Alamo.
The economy...
By using the tax code to discourage high salaries for top level corporate executives, he created the incentive to use stock options as compensation, which created the incentive for those receiving them to manipulate stock prices. In short, he created WorldCom and Enron.
That's the tip of the iceberg. Notice I didn't mention any of the things you were probably expecting as the stock answers.

I don't hate Bill, I think that he was a mediocre president. I think he avoided many issues that he should have dealt with such as terrorism, corporate fraud and immigration. He lowered the morality of the nation more than any before him, but in his defense here, the media ignored these types of things earlier when presidents of the past committed the same or similar transgressions. he was not the worst president by far as he was not the best by far.

I'm an Independent-
Let's forget about the you know what thing that was made
public and should not have been.
He let Bin Laden go.
However, there were some good things he did.
What was that movie, "A Child's Wish?" He signed a
bill for families to take medical leave and get
paid for it. Something like that.
I don't agree with alot of Bush's views by the way.

Two responses, and only two responses, are possible. One, all the charges against Clinton are false and Clinton is, in truth, a noble and honest - though much maligned - man. (This is the official White House position.) Two, the charges are, in whole or part, true but it just doesn't matter. Clinton's character is irrelevant to his fitness to serve as president.
If you opt for option number one, "Clinton is a wrongly-maligned honest man", than you probably also thought O.J. Simpson was framed. Halley Barber's line, "Clinton may not believe anything but his friends have convictions -for bank fraud, embezzlement, conspiracy..." resonates because it is true.
that was written before Lewinsky..the dishonesty..was what
made his Presidency horrible

I would love to spend just 10 minutes just talking to Bubba Bill.
Even though I am conservative. I honestly think he was named Slick Willie for a reason. This guy could talk just about anyone into just about anything. He was one of the most charismatic presidents we have ever had. Even if his politics were terrible.

Not what you asked for, (as I am a Liberal).
1) Welfare "reform"
2) NAFTA
3) Telecommunications Consolidation
4) Don't ask, don't tell
These were far too conservative for me. Why do the conservatives hate him? I have no idea..he gave them far more than Bush ever did.
(And I liked Bill!)
