ok, i know it sounds really stupid, but i dropped a bottle of body lotion into the toilet accidentally when i flushed, and the thing went in!!!! it's quite a big thing, it's actually like a can size of body lotion, and it went in like that! i was stoned and quickly used my hand to get it out (ew, but luckily it wasn't number 2) but i couldnt...
a lot of tissues on top of it and they couldn't go down.. i don't think a plunger does much help. and i heard it's expensive to hire a plumber, so i am thinking to do it myself.
please give me some suggestions on how to fix it by myself, (maybe the steps, tools, etc..) i never do this before..
thanks very much in advance!

Try what Flywho said but if it doesn't work, taking the toilet out isn't difficult, just kind of heavy. Drain the tank, disconect the hose, remove the nuts on the toilet bolts. Lift toilet off of drain then turn it over to remove the bottle. Replace the wax seal with a new one, they can be had at the nearest Lowes of HOme depot and are much cheaper than a plumber. Place the seal on the drain as per instructions on it (I place it on the toilet first myself), line up the bolts (I replaced the old ones with new ones, they are also very cheap), ensure the toilet drain is lined up lower the toilet directly down onto the drain. Reconnect the hose, turn it on, check for leaks, flush, check for leaks. Done (as long as there are no leaks) Just do NOT use a snake or a plunger, they will push it further in.

If you don't want anyone to know you did this, you'll have to remove the toilet to get the bottle out. Since this is not something a plunger will flush down the pipes.

However, you'll need some muscles to hep you with this. The toilet is dang heavy. Stay off the drugs when you do this because you're gonna need your brain cells.

Turn off the water valve to the toilet's water tank. Drain the water from the toilet by flushing it a few times. When you remove the toilet, there's still some water coming out, so keep some towels around to mop it up.

Caution: this will stink!! Have something to cover up the sewage pipe while you work on removing the bottle.

I'm pretty sure the bottle is stuck inside the base of the toilet, so tip it on it's side and remove the bottle.

Make sure you know how to replace the toilet. Have some caulk ready to reseal the base of the toilet once you replace it.

Good luck!

1. do not be stoned while doing this:
2. If the bottle dropped in with the top reachable, you can grab it with your hand and pull it out. Do not use any plungers which would push it deeper in.
If your fingers are too slippery, try a terry wash cloth to improve your grip.
If you still can't get a grip, see if you can reach any part of the bottle with a sharp-tipped knife to cut a little hole in it.
Then take a wire clothes hanger, unravel it and bend one end into a J shape, using a wrench.
Wiggle this J shape into the bottle and use it as a hook to pull out the bottle.

While you can sometime be successful using a toilet auger (About $20-$30), many times it requires removal of the toilet to be able to push the item back out. I have removed deodorant containers and hair picks this way. You may try a hanger down it. This is a job most handymen can handle so if you aren't successful yourself look for a handyman rather than a plumber.

It is more likely than not stuck in the curvature of the toilet drain which means a plunger is you best bet to get it out of there and then yes if accomplished you will have to reach down and get it small quick plunges to get the cycle started then on big upward movement to bring it up

I'd call the plumber, if its in the neck of the toilet it will have to be taken apart to get it out. If you break it in the process it will cost more in the long run. A snake won't work it will just jam it in farther.

You need to pull it back out it sounds like it wont go past the p-trap in the toilet, try a coat hanger if you can pierce a hole in the bottle with it you should be able to remove it that way good luck.

Try the plunger first, your probably going to get messy doing this but get all the gunk out and keep plunging it, hoping that you can work the bottle back up... and then reach in and get it.

If you can't then call someone to help, just don't be stoned when you call them so you get someone who can help :)

My husband flushed stew with dumplings in it down the toilet once (why, I don't know) anyways, one of the dumplings blocked the toilet and he ended up taking the whole toilet off and getting it out.
