Hi,

My fiance and I wanted to try something new so I let him ejaculate inside of me during sex.My last "period" was on June 12th..we had sex on saturday June 30th..Was it safe to have sex without having to worry about getting pregnant? When is it ok to have sex during the menestrual cycle and not get pregnant? Should I take a morning after Pill??

ANYTIME you have sex, you risk a chance of getting pregnant.

I've tried this method of birth control... I think they call it the natural method. (?) Its where you keep track of your cycle so that you can predict when you will ovulate. Then, on those days you can use some other form of birth control or not have sex. Anyway... as meticulous as I was about keeping dates and being careful... I still got pregnant. When I went in for the official test and to see how far along I was... they estimated that the time I got pregnant was actually around my period. So for what its worth, I think you need something more reliable.

Count about 14 days after the first day of your last period and that's when women usually ovulate. So... if the first day of your last period was on the 12, then you would have most likely ovulated on the 26th.... so, you probably caught it close. I believe that if you two are going to engage in "close-calls", then I recommend you to be put on birth control. Your periods could be shorter, too!

The only true birth control is abstinence. But, have him wear a condom. I got pregnant on the pill twice - nothings fool-proof! Good luck! (I have two beautiful children, though - but I'm married and wanted kids at some point anyway.
