Our government does a good job putting anti-Iran propaganda in the media because they are heavily influenced by Israel, which does not like Iran. A war with Iran would benefit Israel, not America. They never showed how Iran held a massive candlelight vigil on 9/11 without their leaders telling them to do so. Iran offered to join the Coalition and help hunt down the Sunni terror group the Taliban and Iran, which is Shiites, hate the Sunnis. Iran, in 2002, wanted to make some treaties with the US to ease the tensions between us, but Bush ignored it. Iran keeps offering to let our government hold negotiations with them, but our government has avoided most of the offers. Then, our government makes up mediocre false flag stories about Iran supplying arms to Sunni Saddam loyalist insurgents in Iraq when Iran's worst enemy was Saddam and the Sunnis. If people actually believe that Iran is a threat to America and that we should invade them, they need their head checked out.

It's not what's wrong with Iran, it's what's right with it. Iran has the world's second largest reserves of conventional crude oil on planet earth. Put that together with Iraq which has the third largest reserves of conventional oil in the world, and what do you see? A pattern perhaps?

The Guardian Council and the Supreme Leader (a bonehead) are the problem regardless of the presidency. Mickey Mouse could be the president of iran, and there would still be a problem. I like the persian people. They have some of the most beautiful women in the world and have a rich history (the empire). Most Americans are too stupid to realize that these people are closer to us than the arabs are in everyday life. Someday we will be friends, but only after another internal revolution (emphasis on internal).

Okay take everything you said and apply it to Germany in the 1930s. There was a peace movement and decent people in Germany. Germans were hard working, honest, and good people. So you would have had FDR ignore what Hitler had said and was doing. International politics is a nasty business because innocent people can get in the way. Of course those innocent people can take matters into their own hands and expell their demons themselves. After all, Hitler was elected and had tacit approval of the Germans for all things that he did.

The problem in Iran is not the people or the puppet leader of Iran but it`s masters the Imams. They control all in Iran and want to keep that power even if it takes the world to war.

The media tries to make Iranians out to be a bunch of maniacs. I think many people will be shocked to see how western most of them are if they took the time to meet some Persians.

Many Iranians apparently love America and envy our way of life. Seems like a poor move to make enemy's out of potential friends.

I guess the historical facts of a Islamic fundamentalist revolution in 1979 and the hostage taking of Americans in their embassy shortly thereafter and Iran's strong dislike of the USA since then and their continuing support of terrorist groups (I think they were the ones who coined the phrase "Great Satan") mean absolutely nothing to you and would never factor into your perceptions.
Am I right?
