Is it ok to remove resonator from the muffler?

The resonator and the muffler are both parts of an exhaust system. You can usually replace the resonator with a pipe, but the vehicle will be a little louder.

You do not say what type of vehicle you have, so I can only give a general answer!

Not enough info to give a good answer. Why would you want it removed? Are there any laws that could be broken if it is removed?

if it is an older car and your state dont have inspections you could eliminate it and put a piece of pipe in place of it. any muffler shop could do the service and tell you if it is legal where you live.
