I'm talking about when black people (I'm not saying all black people, but some) Play the race card when there is Absolutely no reason to. Vivica A. Fox for example, who was once one of my favorite actors called a white cop racist when he arrested her for DUI. Let me remind you that vivica was doing 80 miles an hour when she was pulled over and smelled strongly of alcohol and her eyes were blazing red. There wasn't any real evidence of racism at all otherwise it would have been on every news channel. I'm sorry but wasn't the cop just doing his job?.... isnt vivica a racist for doing that? I don't see jesse jackson or al sharpton protesting her like they were doing don imus a few months ago. Oh beacuse only white people are racist? I don't think so! I know for a fact that there are some black people who unfairly play the race card just beacuse they hate white people and will try to get out of getting in trouble. Don't tell me no because i have them in my own famliy.

The black guy from Grey's Anatomy is another example. When he was fired from the show for using a homophbic slur, i knew it woulnt be lon before he pulled out the race card. Even though there was every evidence to suggest that his behavour not his race got him fired. Why arent black people called on this more often? are white people scared to because they don't want to be seen as racist? Honest answers people.

There is no such thing
as ... 'Reverse' Racism.
Remember ... 'Racism-is-Racism' and
-- it does not become 'Reverse' simply
because the target is of it is 'White' nor
because the perpetrator is Non-'White'.
If it were 'Reversed' -- that would
mean that it was *not* 'Racism'.
Again ... 'Racism-is-Racism' and it
does not become 'Reverse' simply
because the target of it is 'White' nor
because the perpetrator is non-'White'.

Absolutely! My husband who works for the Federal Government has 2 bosses that are colored. They will be in the office break room and talk in their parents native tongue while my husband is the only other person in the room with them. They are both English speakers from the time of childhood. I liken it to whispering behind somebodies back right in front of them. Thankfully my husband knows a bit of the language being spoken, but it is soooo rude. They make special rules for the families that live on the grounds of the work place for example; no children at the public facility(unless it is their own), (no one but those two can use the riding lawn mower LOL), families must keep up on yard work and keep all toys on the lawn picked up, (except for their families). I also think that one of them may have gotten his job because of his color, he doesn't know what is going on most of the time and has to rely on my husband for information and planning constantly. He is paid 1/3 more than my husband and can not do his job! Yes I think reverse discrimination is maddening!

Racism is racism. Bigotry is bigotry. Color doesn't matter.
If you want to know if a statement is racist, just substitute the race described in the question with Black, White, Mexican, Jew, etc.
For instance:
1. What if in addition to Black Entertainment Television there was White Entertainment Television?
2. What if there was a United White College Fund?
Of course, if there were, there would be public outcry about discrimination. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just calling it like I see it.
For our country to be truly free of discrimination, we will have to reach a point beyond things like that. Why not have a college fund for under-privileged kids of all colors?
For all races to be truly equal, we will have to abolish things like affirmative action, and anyone of any color with a sense of pride in themselves and a sense of accomplisment in what they've achieved would have to agree.
But yes, to answer your question, people all too often play the race card to divert attention from their own mistakes and inappropriate actions, and it is implorable and embarrasing.
People of all colors have an obligation to take responsibility for their own actions. The actions of people like Vivica A. Fox and others actually hurt noble actions to fight racism, as it becomes like the boy who cried wolf. Eventually our ears will fall deaf to real actions of racism because we've been overexposed to fake claims so often.

No that wasn't a racist remark at all! Now if she had of called him a c**cker, or a h**ky..or white t*ash then that would have been racist. She was wrong for calling the white cop a racist when she was the one that was in the wrong, by driving drunk. There is a big difference in what you are suggesting. You are making Vivica out to be a racist when what she did was accused someone else of being a racist. And just because she played the race card doesn't mean she hates white people, she thought that by playing that card that she would get out of trouble.
Because if what you say is true, anytime you call a black person or anyone else racists..then that makes you racist right? No!

the term "reverse racism" says plainly that white racism is the only racism, i think its a stupid term or i dont understand it.
by no means should people use race as an excuse to anything, because it cheapens the consequences of real discrimination. as a Jew, ive got big issues with the Anti Defamation League sending out press releases to ANYTHING that could be construed as Jew bashing. its a low tactic and it makes you out to be a loon.
i do agree that the statement "white people are racist" is racist itself, but to accuse someone of being racist cant always be.

50 years ago in Little Rock the schools could no longer
be closed to a child because of skin color. But now Hillary,
Berack Obama. Joe Bidden and the NAACP say they should
be. How can the same rules apply differently to white children
than they do to blacks? We know who the bigots are. They
are the ones who practice for years so as not to sound
white when they speak. Don't peg me as a bigot. I spoke
against that long before I ever of hared of Dr. King. As for
your question, Its the same CRAP!

agree mostly with mixedraceperson. and concerning vivica;
i havent seen enough emphasis on the fact that she WAS
drunk. dont some people under the influence say things that they want to be true, but its not reality. i'm sure you all know of someone who drinks and says things that aren't reality, but they want to perceive the situation the way that makes them more comfortable with it.

If you don't want us "to tell you", why did you ask?
You really started to get heated at the last point of your comment.
Of course there is racism across the color lines, but why do you care so much? Worry about your own life, treat people with respect at all times regardless of their skin color, and never be the person that other people need to keep their mouths shut around because you don't know how to just be down to earth.
That's what wrong with 'reverse racism" ( and I hate that term) the people who think the script has been flipped are internally racist themselves so they find excuses and episodes that happen and say "SEE SEE, THEIR RACIST, THEIR RACIST!!! I TOLD YA I TOLD YA!!!!!!
Lame.

1) Shoe on the other foot.
2) Two wrongs don't make a right.
Pick one.
The one you didn't pick is how the other race feels.
They are both the reality of it all.

All racism is bad to me. It's a never ending circle that's tearing the world apart!!!! The ozone layer doesn't care what color we are. It's still going to get thinner if we don't pull together!
