I dont think its nasty but i like to know.
I give my girl a little more space so i dont upset her because she gets bad pms, poor thing, i know she doesnt mean it. But during this week i know to roll over and just go to sleep. Thats my real reason i like to know.

Do the nasty while she is having her period? Sure NBD, just put down a towel so the sheets don't get ruined.
Some chicks don't go in for that, but i have known several that claim and orgasm helps alleviate cramps and actively seek gentlemen such as myself during this critical time.
then i got married and i got her over her problem with it totally and if the timing is right, but her friend is visiting we just go for it.
like i said NBD, but I am not going downtown during that, OK

Yes, I like to know because I would refrain from sex with her if she were having her period. I don't think it is nasty because it is a natural occurrence, but it is messy and often more painful for her.

Generally it's nice to know "there's a visitor coming in a couple days" or whatever. And talking about cramps/pain and such is fine so we know why you may not be in the best mood. But one thing I can do without is the gory details. We don't need to know about how heavy the flow is, what color it is, how many tampons you went through, etc..

I'm not a guy, but here are my thoughts:
If a guy is mature, he shouldn't be bothered all that much by knowing about it. It's just part of being a human female that you have your period.
If you don't feel comfortable about people knowing exactly when it is, just don't mention it. (If you're sexually active, obviously then you would end up mentioning it to your partner.)

When we first started dating my bf insisted that i tell him whenever i get my period. i think he just didn't want to be unpleasantly surprised in the heat of the moment lol..
Everytime i get upset he thinks it MUST be pms.. no matter what time of month it is LOL..

Honestly, it is a downer knowing that.
My girl describs in depth and explains why she is the way she is. She could simply say, "its that time of the month."
Just put it simply and leave it alone unless the guy is curious!
