Not a worthy goal, dude. If you cut off your emotions, they will just go into your subconscious and then be out of your control. But you were kind of on the right track with, "Be more scientific." Try this: Turn yourself into a journalist, or a researcher. Hang a calendar on the wall, and put a small notebook and pencil in your pocket. When people bug you, just quietly make a mark, in the notebook or on the wall. Don't explain! Watch what happens! For your own benefit, tabulate how often they do this and that. You'll be impressed. Things will change. Meanwhile, the serious look on your face as you do all this will make you come across as a serious, controlled person. You can tabulate your own joy and cheerful thoughts, too. They deserve to be recognized. You will not be under these people's thumb your whole life. So, you want to have some happy "you" left when it's over! -- Been There

Start small.
Take an object that you own that you dont want to get rid of and throw it away. After its gone tell yourself its ok that its gone. Then move on to something or someone in your life that is a little more important to you and do the same thing. Work your way up from the least important to the most. Be warned though, there is no going back. Good luck.

Why? So you can end up like the kid that killed 32 people and himself at Virginia Tech earlier this year? He, too, cut his emotions off from those around him.
You are a human being whose purpose it is to feel. By giving yourself the goal of 'no emotions' (which is impossible except for an unconscious state) you are merely setting yourself up to FEEL GOOD about not reacting normally to things around you. You can't escape it.
Do you just want to seem unaffected by the world because you don't know how to deal with it in an otherwise joyful manner? Do you blame those around you believing that they are the cause of your negative emotions (and so you don't want to "reward" them with your positive emotions)? This is not true. You are the cause of your own negative emotions. It's just innocent ignorance to not be able to see and deal with that.
The fact that you want to hide your emotions from others means that you believe others have a lot of power over you. Nobody has power over you. So why hide emotions from them? If you laugh, you think something is funny, is that not kind of you to do for yourself? Don't become even more of a torturer to yourself than what you already are.
There's enough machines in the world. There's not enough bright, decent, caring, affectionate, loving and considerate people...

totally shut yourself off, push things to the back of your mind and forget about them, 'put them emotions in a box and keep them their' keepin a straight face isnt hard, well not for me, i used to do it all the time! but now im a grumpy fucker so it done more harm then good, i got too used to controllin my emotions too much, (when i was younger) and believe it or not people say im cold now, dont show emotion, which im not sure thats a good thing, dont do it! you might end up trainin your brain to act like that and it could be hard to act ne other way in the future

From a young age I tried to base myelf on Mr Spock from Star Trek. I t doesn't work and I found that I was missing out on so much. My experience has not been a good one as I have realised that humans are emotional beings and not robots. Laugh when you want to laugh, cry when you want to cry.

Why would you want to eliminate emotions, its part of you. If your left hand started to shake uncontrollably would you cut it off?
The aim of man is to understand and accept these feelings, but what you do with them is up to you.
Try just feeling the emotion, allow it to wash over you, then ask yourself, why you feel that way? then decide what you want to do with it.
How you react is upto you as Brian Covey says you decide how you wish to respond.

GOOD QUESTION... Don't worry, what others think about you. It is only what you think, they think. They may think, you are laughing at them. We are all unique, we are all amazing, we are all different, we are all the same.
