I suggest that a 14-year-old find a position with someone who is self-employeed, ie a hairsalon owner. For 10 years I hired young people to do all kinds of things for me and my business. Call your friends and aquaintenances, ask who they know who's self-employeed and give those folk a call. Note your youth's giftings, ie good with math, enjoys entertaining, etc., and be prepared to share those with everyone you speak to. I also suggest that you be connected with the employer so that you and the employer can work together raising your kid!

First you need a work permit from your school or you can get it from the high school.... I think you can get a job at McDonald's but that's about it... you might have to wait till your 15 for more job opportunities
