Ok my favorite author who writes thrillers is John Saul. If you like Stephen King I think you will LOVE John Saul.

T.S. Eliot is also my favorite poet. But there's Wallace Stevens or Robert Lowell.
For novels, Ernest Hemingway (For Whom the Bell Tolls or The Sun Also Rises) or John Fowles (The French Liutenent"s Woman) . Enjoy.

My fav poet would have to be Patrick Kavanagh. I dunno if you know him but he's an irish poet who wrote poems like "epic","In Memory of my Mother","A Christmas Childhood".
Another of my favourites would be Thomas Hardy...."The man he killed".
My fav author...hmmm..maybe Robert Jordan. He wrote the Wheel of time series. Its a fantasy series.
David Gemmell is good as well. Troy series.
