Well after playing all the metal gear games it's made me think that there must be some really powerful people who control our country and I don't mean the president. The pres is just a figure head and I don't believe for a second that people's votes dictates if someone get to be president. I think a large underground company screens a bunch of candidates and selects the right one to achieve there own personal goals, this has to be right because I know that if I was ever president I would make drastic changes to the country I live in and a large majority would be against it while others would be for it. This however would possibly cause an internal war but I wouldn't care because I know it would be for the best in the long run so people like me would never get to be president because were to unpredictable so the power people only choose the people they can control. So I fully believe that there's someone behind the scenes.

When we choose to participate and hold onto the strings in solidarity, We The People have the most power. But,
We The People listen to the selfish ones and take sides too easily and are afraid to speak out for what is truly the correct way of thought and direction .
We The People don't instill the passion or drive to in ourselves and others to stand up and fight because of apathy and fear of being singled out. We The People think it's someone else's problem and are too lazy or complacent and since it doesn't seem to affect us,
We The People don't think there is a need.
We The People don't speak out directly to the media giants that we are sick and tired of hearing their "Fake News" and that
We The People don't give a damn about Paris Hilton -and don't say to them "Give us the REAL Information and News!"
We The People don't take responsibility for our actions as a nation.
We The People better start doing something about it soon.

there's Organizations like the Trilateral Commission, The Round Table, The Bilderberg Group, The Council On Foreign Relations, The Club of Rome,Royal Institute of international affairs .
These often are members and o/r else work with secret societies, like the Illuminati, Bohemian Grove, The Order of Skull and Bones, (Higher degree) Freemasons( lower degree masons are their useful idiots) etc
this is the structure behind the New World Order - these are loyal to themselves and the NWO not their countries.-this includes Bush and Kerrey (both Bonesmen) etc
Also in the US case in particular check out the ex-senior government figures and the bodies and "think -tanks" they're involved with e.g The Carlyle Group .
e.g James Baker and Kissinger in particular
There's plenty out there on this.
As you rightly suspect the overt or visible Government is only a front for the really powerful "Secret" Government"

That's what I believe; and I have some quotes to prove it:
"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not
behind the scenes." --Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli of England, in 1844.
"Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." - Woodrow Wilson
"The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise their power from behind the
scenes."-- Justice Felix Frankfurter, U.S. Supreme Court.
"I am concerned for the security of our great nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insideous forces working from within." -- General Douglas MacArthur
"The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls
its slimy legs over our cities, states and nation."-- Mayor (1918-1925) John F. Hylan of New York.
You can check any of these quotes out on the internet

Behind the seens......?
I think there's someone behind the scenes.
It probably has to do with those secret Bilderberg conferences who, some people believe, select our next President years before (s)he is 'elected'.

Women ... always have and always will! The sooner men realize that fact, the sooner we'll get along with them!
I'm sure you've heard that old adage ... "behind every successful man is a woman" ... it's true. The woman is the reason for his success! I'm not a P Whipped guy, just one that's figured out how to make my relationship work!

It is the Invisible hand of the free market.
It has no name and no face but controls all.
The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759), and An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (1776)
By Adam Smith
Smith's work helped to create the modern academic discipline of economics and provided one of the best-known intellectual rationales for free trade, capitalism, and libertarianism.

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain..."
When Agnew and Nixon were terminated, and Ford became president, who was chosen and ratified by Congress as the vice president?
Rocky!
The Rockefellers, other oilmen, bankers, Bill Gates, et al affect our government's policies.
Maybe we should pay attention to the man behind the curtain...
