Yes I have worn a black gown to an evening wedding and I wasn't the only one there in black.

I wanted to wear black to MY wedding .. I lost that fight but my bridesmaids and groomsmen all wore black and lotsa people wore black too soo it looked like I had a huge wedding party.

I wore black to my brother's wedding. I don't think it matters what colour the guests are wearing.

No. It's not a funeral, but I don't even wear black to funerals.
