I feel a compulsive need to validate myself through writing. I write my opinions about books and put them on Amazon.com. I write my opinions and share information I know on Yahoo Answers. I write essays and post them online.
Maybe I do this because I don't feel that I get listened to at home. Who knows.

Well, Darlin, I don't know if I want to write about myself. Being an avid reader, I know what you are asking. Each character needs/must have multi-layers. Yet at the same time, something must be saved for the "zinger" of the last three pages. There must be some quirk, if you will, that has either been well hidden or seen yet forgotten. Something that perhaps comes from past generations that cannot be either ignored or explained and most of the time the characters have forgotten that they have been exposed to this flaw/trait/blood type. I realize I probably haven't helped, but always remember that there are layers to people in books just like in real life. Possibly sitting right next to you.

I defy all normal societal rules. First of all I follow the spiritual path of Wicca, although I feel more that I am eclectic pagan now I still use the label of wiccan. I homeschool both of my boys because I feel that society has created a school system that turns out more hoodlums and miscreants than it does working, literate young folks. The third rule we have yet to have broken but we are on our way. As of September my family and I will be full time RVers. We are selling our house and have sold my husband's business and will soon be living full time on the open road.

Ok if you are looking for more personal stuff. I am the forever dreamer. My family always tells me I should retrieve my head from the clouds. I live to learn. I love to share what I have learned through writing or long wonderful conversations. If my head is not stuck in a book or the computer then I am likely spending time with someone who means more to me like my husband or children or one of our many close friends. Even then sometimes it is difficult to keep me from writing or reading something or at the very least making notes in my head of things I want to write about later. I have a very live and let live attitude which is very opposite from my husband, who I have been married to for 17 years. He is a very my way type of person.

I'm not too interesting, but here goes:

I spend hours in front of the computer screen with five different windows open. I hate feeling bored. I always need something to do. I wouldn't say I'm energetic, thought. Not at all. I wake up after 3 p.m. on weekends. I'm the definition of laziness.

I'm motivated by things that interest me. If you ask me to clean your windows, I'll probably find an excuse to get out of it. But if you want me to write a poem for you, just show me to the pen and the paper. I don't show other people my work, unless it's for a school assignment. Even then, I'm a little nervous about reading aloud in front of people. I've been told I'm an amazing writer. I like getting compliments. But if I can't be proud of myself, it's hard to let other people be proud of me.

I have always prided myself on NOT being a slave to what other people think of me. I've always cultivated my own style of dress and behavior. I am extremely adept at being diplomatic while still speaking my mind...but I'm not above getting in a few jabs at those who deserve it. At the same time, I choose my battles. If it is important to me...I go for it. But if in the final analysis, I really don't care, I know when to back off and live to fight another day. I'm intensely patriotic, but not naive. I realize that we are governed by humans and humans are fallible. I listen to all sides of the issue, but make my own decisions.

And, oh, yeah, I do a bit of professional writing myself.

So, am I going to be the lead character in your book? LOL

In a world that lives for overrated pleasures, and ignores underrated treasures, I feel strangely out of place. I live for what others ignore, I live inside myself, but am trapped in a body that belies my true self. I am a writer, a dreamer, a wisher, and sometimes I feel so different from everyone else that I think I am soaring through the air, just watching what happens on this earth, not actually taking place in it. So who am I?? I am a character in one of my own stories, fighting for truth, and destroying lies. I remain strong though all around me are weak, and I absolutely hate it.
