NOT only would I have laughed, but I would have thought they were certifiably crazy and would have laughed AND said as much to their faces!
Of course, I would have not only laughed in their faces 5 years ago, but 10, 15,20 AND 25 years ago as well....
Man, have the times changed!
I hope I am not crying in the next 5 years over gas prices!

I was at home. Stoned watching the late news (Australia) boyfriend next to me asleep. it was about 10.45pm. Then the reporter said 'Now to some Breaking News.' & the live picture came up on t.v. I couldnt believe what i was seeing! I didnt even know what the world trade centre was or even what a terrorist was. So i didnt suspect that this was on purpose. But i kept thinking how could they crash into a building by accident? Then i saw live on t.v the next plane hitting the other building & i just couldnt believe it. i thought who on earth would do something like this. i didnt know there were people on this earth that could have so much hate. The reporter was in shock & didnt know what to say. she just kept saying 'oh dear, oh dear' you could see she was really emotional. i just kept saying oh my god, oh my god!!! i just never thought anyone would do somthing like that. Especially in the united states. I guess i was very naive!

No. I would not have laughed. We all saw it coming, with all the big fat cat oil co, lobbyists in Washington DC, and with our current administration, it was plain to see it coming.
